On this upcoming Mother’s Day tomorrow, for those of you who still have your mothers with you, be thankful and listen to the words of your mother. I never imagined my mother dying, and not being able to hear her sweet, sweet voice ever again. Mother was my coach, cheering squad, biggest fan, best friend, advisor, life coach, protector, provider, doctor, psychiatrist, and the hand of God when I did something wrong. There are so many more things my Mother said; I would not have enough room on this paper to list them all.

But here are the ones I would like to share with you now:

  • Mother said pickup your clothes Mary….you do not have a maid.

  • Mother said that young man is not for you dear…the right man will come along.

  • Mother said that is not your best friend…she is jealous of you…she will hurt you.

  • Mother said you need rest…Rome was not built in a day…you will get it done.

  • Mother said do not buy that car…you cannot afford it…but she helped me purchase it.

  • Mother said do not buy that house…you cannot afford it…but she helped me secure it.

  • Mother said there are going to be good days and bad days…but hopefully the good ones will outweigh the bad ones.

  • Mother said to all her friends…I am so proud of Mary.

  • Mother said to her church…those are my children and I am so proud of them.

  • Mother said to neighbors…I love my children…they are busy, but Mary will do anything she can to help me.

  • Mother said I am so proud of you…I don’t care about what anyone else thinks.

  • Mother said you are beautiful…and I love you more than anything.

To be continued tomorrow
