Do Unto Others

Have you ever had to contend with this? The church is having dinner. Most times we wives help prepare these dinners for the church. Members of the church in the dining room come out with a dinner for your husband. Wow, you think, where is my dinner? They comment and say, “Oh, we forgot you”.
Your husband proceeds to sit down and eat. He eats most of the dinner and says, “Oh, I am sorry baby, did you want anything to eat?” You say, “No that’s okay. I will get something later. What about the children? Did they get a dinner?”
Wow! These are supposedly Christians! What is it about the minister’s wife with these people? Again, there is no respect for the minister’s wife or the children. What’s up with this?
The right thing to do, whether a Christian or not, would have been to invite the minister’s wife and family don’t you think??? These are the very basic tenets of biblical teaching… “Do unto others as you would want them to do to you”. Your comments? I'd like to hear from you. Write your comments below.
