The Life of a Minister's Wife

The inspiration for this site was borne out of 20 years as a minister’s wife, as well as being a member of a church since age seven.

I can provide a front row account of what really goes on in the life of a minister’s wife. The life we share as minister’s wives is quite revealing, thought-provoking, and not at all what people think it is. These revelations are not limited to any one group or denomination, but these revelations run the gambit no matter what ethnicity you are, no matter if your ministry is rich or poor, if your ministry is a dynasty, or if your ministry leaves the family in abject poverty.

Our lives as minister’s wives is unique. This life is filled with beauty, joy, and hope, especially when we are helping others. These are the times we most treasure and hold very close to us, which in turn keeps us focused. We love God and spend a lot of our time in prayer. There are also times that are a stark contrast to our days of joy and hope. These times are quite hurtful, painful, and we feel so alone.

I hope this site opens a door for us minister’s wives to come out of the shadows and begin a frank and honest dialogue about the life we share. Anything you share with me (including your name/contact information) will remain confidential, (See Contact Me page for more details.) unless you would like me to share it with others on the site. If so, you can leave your comments below.

I invite you to feel the freedom I now feel. Know who you are and never let go of that!
